Ellie Goulding Continues Are Magical Ways
Ellie Goulding continues are magical ways at the format. Many of our music and programmers are raving about her new “On My Mind” (Cherrytree/Interscope) single and for good reason, it’s one of her best to date. Trey Songz is back at it and this time he’s taking his new jam to even further heights. “About You” (Songbook/Atlantic) is the cut that we are talking about and this one really deserves your immediate attention. The pairing of Fetty Wap and Monty has been looking like a solid winner. “My Way” (300 Entertainment) is the cut single has been moving by leaps and bounds. Watch for some bigger weeks ahead for this monster duet as the spins and adds continue to rock the music world.
Nick Jonas is back with another excellent single. “Levels” (Safehouse/Island) is his latest and who would have guessed that this guy would have rebounded to the solo career that he has today. Congratulations Nick and keep those mega hits going strong. Alessia Cara has a good thing and make no mistake about that. Her new “Here” (EP Entertainment/DefJam/Universal) is fast becoming everyone’s favorite and this one has #1 written all over it. Andy Grammer is not only on Dancing With The Stars, he also has another hit on his hands. “Good To Be Alive” (S Curve/EMI) is his latest and with his new following of television watchers that could help more this to the top of the charts.
Selena Gomez has not only found a new record label and manager, she also has completely revitalized her career. “Same Old Love” (Interscope) is her latest and radio is really loving what she is doing now so good move Selena. Jess Glynne is finding more love at radio thanks to a new cut. “Hold My Hand” (Atlantic) is the latest and this one is so good that you just can’t put it down. Macklemore & Ryan Lewis are taking the format by storm once again. Their “Downtown” (WB) single is the talk of the town and for good reason. This is one monster jam that has solid #1 potential.
Nicky Jam is getting raves for the work done on a brand new track. “El Perdon” (Sony Music Latin) is the one that might be worth a few spins around the block. Also make sure you spend some time with Drake. His new “Hotline Bling” (Cash Money/Young Money/Universal) is probably one of the best tracks to come along for him in quite some time. This is one talented recording artist who seems to have his hand on pulse.

Maroon 5 is back at it with yet another monster hit. “Feelings” (222/Interscope) is their latest and this one is just a shade better than their last so good things can only happen from here. Major Lazer has teamed up with Ellie Goulding & Tarrus Riley for a real solid track. “Powerful” (Interscope) is just that and a bag of chips so I’d put this on the music burner right away. Taylor Swift would have never imagined all the things going on yet she tells it all in her “Wildest Dreams” (Big Machine/Universal). It’s only a matter of a few weeks before this becomes her next #1 single so “top that”.
Recording artist Chuck Murphy has a good thing going at the format. His debut single “How Many Times” (One West Music) is picking up some rather impressive action and our reporters are loving this one big time. Chris Cox is also on fire at Top4o as his new “Honky Tonk Hellcat” (CMM) takes flight. Tom Maclear continues to amaze with “Unapproachable” (Meg Records). Royalush is on fire with their stellar “Shot For America”. ABUSS is set to explode with “Poor Days” (Daybreak Records) so watch for some big weeks ahead for this gem.
