KRMG Raises Over $326K in Annual Stories of Light Campaign
Tulsa’s 102.3 KRMG celebrated a historic milestone during its 19th annual Stories of Light fundraising campaign, raising more than $326,000 for Make-A-Wish Oklahoma and bringing the total amount raised since the campaign’s inception to over $5 million.
The three-day campaign, which culminated in a 52-hour live broadcast, concluded Thursday night with the announcement that this year’s efforts had secured funding to grant over 65 wishes for Oklahoma children facing critical illnesses.
“We cannot think of a better way to kick off the holiday season than to help kids who need something to look forward to during treatment,” said Levi May, KRMG’s Director of Branding and Programming. “This fundraiser has become part of KRMG’s history, and we’re proud of the impact we’ve been able to make year over year for nearly 20 years.”
The event took place at LaFortune Park, where KRMG aired interviews with children and families who have benefited from the Make-A-Wish program. These stories highlighted how local donations transform lives, providing children with hope and joy during challenging times.
Make-A-Wish, a nonprofit organization, grants wishes to children with critical illnesses. KRMG’s Stories of Light campaign is Make-A-Wish Oklahoma’s largest fundraiser, playing a role in funding wishes across the state.
