WJZM-FM to Adopt AC Format Under New Ownership
Fowler Media’s recent acquisition of WJZM (105.1) in Waverly, TN, has revealed plans to transition the station to an AC format starting this weekend. The station, a 50,000-watt outlet reaching audiences from Southern Kentucky to Northern Alabama, aims to diversify its music offerings under its new ownership.
Previously serving as the flagship for Salem Music Networks’ Solid Gospel 105, WJZM has been airing Classic Country under the brand “The Wolf” since 2016. The switch to an AC format marks a significant shift, embracing a broader musical repertoire featuring both national and local personalities.
The rebranded “105-1 WJZM” will honor its roots with the call signs originally assigned to the Greater Clarksville-Montgomery County Metropolitan Area in 1941. The lineup will include popular figures such as Delilah and Mario Lopez, alongside Jackson Blue. Additionally, the station will introduce a local morning show hosted by the new owners, Bryan and Jody Fowler.
Bryan Fowler, known for his role as a media broker in the U.S. and his previous ownership within Consolidated Media, expressed enthusiasm about bringing a fresh sound to the station. “We are excited to inject new energy into WJZM with a dynamic mix of adult contemporary hits and engaging personalities that reflect our community’s diverse tastes,” said Fowler.
