Sub Focus has released his brand new single “Wildfire” today (July 30) via Casablanca/Republic. The track was premiered by UK tastemaker outlet, BBC Radio 1’s Jack Saunders who selected it as his “Hottest Record” today.

Listen to “Wildfire” by Sub Focus here.

It is the first new solo music released by the pioneering British electronic music artist this year, following “Go Back,” his massive collaboration with John Summit which has garnered over 25 million streams on Spotify since its release in May, and last year’s UK Top 40 album Evolve. “Wildfire” features the vocals of singer Jo Hill – who appeared on last year’s “Ready To Fly,” the Top 30 single by Sub Focus & Dimension which was classified Gold by the British Phonographic Industry.

“Wildfire” has been played in live sets by Sub Focus in the past months, where it is always met with an enormous response by the crowd – including to a 50,000-strong audience at EDC in Las Vegas earlier this year and most recently this weekend at Sub Focus’ headlining performance at Brighton’s On The Beach. The single has fast become a fan favorite, hence the anticipation around its official release today.

“I first played ‘Wildfire’ at Drumsheds at the end of last year and immediately knew from the crowd reaction we were onto something special,” says Sub Focus. “It’s been the most requested song in my set for months now so what better way to kick off a new series of releases of mine.”

The release of new single “Wildfire” comes amid a flurry of new activity from Sub Focus. He also unveiled new imagery this month, including photographs created with highly-acclaimed, award-winning photographer Neil Krug, whose previous collaborations include Tame Impala, Lana Del Rey, Bonobo and more.

Sub Focus has been on an unprecedented live schedule this year, bringing his acclaimed “Circular Sound” live and Evolve audiovisual show to festival main stages across the globe. His presence has been felt most notably in the U.S., where Drum & Bass as a genre and Sub Focus as an artist are both seeing an enormous surge in popularity. Following his appearance on the wildly successful WORSHIP tour run this past March, which sold over 24,000 tickets over sold out shows in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago and more, Sub Focus will return to North America for festival appearances at HARD SUMMER in Los Angeles, Ilsoniq in Montreal and Elements in Pennsylvania.  All dates follow below.
