Singer-songwriter Nick Cain has released his latest single, “Pumping on the Heartbreaks.” The spirited, twangy track explores the emotional push-and-pull of falling for someone who feels like everything you’ve ever wanted in a romantic partner. This song encapsulates Cain’s internal conflict about making a move or taking things slow, wanting to maintain respect for that individual. “Pumping on the Heartbreaks” is now available to stream on all major platforms worldwide.

Utilizing an up-tempo beat and heartfelt lyrics, Nick Cain’s new single, “Pumping on the Heartbreaks,” dives into the whirlwind of unexpected attraction and the blurred lines of spontaneous connection. Through vivid storytelling and lively instrumentation, Cain captures the emotional tug-of-war that comes when you meet someone who feels like everything you’ve been looking for. Explaining the inspiration behind the track, Cain shares, “‘Pumping on the Heartbreaks’ is about that wild moment when you lock eyes with someone, and the world just kinda disappears around you.” He adds, “I remember walking into a bar one night and seeing this woman who stopped me in my tracks… confidence, fire, the whole deal. That kind of energy hits you fast, and you know you’re in trouble in the best way possible.” With a desire to connect authentically with listeners, Cain continues, “This song is me being honest about that push and pull—wanting to be respectful, not rush things, but also feeling that undeniable pull that’s hard to fight. It’s messy, it’s human, and it’s real. Sometimes the heart’s got a heavy foot on the gas, even when your head’s hitting the brakes. That’s what this one’s all about.” Co-written with Drew Lawrence and produced by Brandon Bell, “Pumping on the Heartbreaks” highlights Cain’s craftsmanship and marks another strong step forward in his emergence as a standout voice in modern country music.

Nick Cain has carved out a unique space for himself in the country music scene, drawing on his background as a blue-collar tradesman, his entrepreneurial spirit, and an authentic story that sets him apart. Unlike many artists, Cain took a non-traditional path: his passion for singing, songwriting, and performing was sparked after attending the Watershed Music Festival at The Gorge Amphitheater. At 39, he made the life-changing decision to learn guitar and pursue music seriously. When the pandemic put his real estate development work on pause, he seized the opportunity to dive headfirst into his new creative journey. Cain has since collaborated with respected industry professionals, including celebrity vocal coach Roger Love (John Mayer, Gwen Stefani, The Beach Boys) and songwriter Drew Lawrence (Christina Perri, The Backstreet Boys, Lea Michele). His debut single, “Blue Collars, White Claws, and Red Cups,” helped establish his name in the country scene. He’s gone on to perform at festivals, fairs, private parties, live shows, and corporate events, steadily building a grassroots fanbase. His singles “That’s What The Whiskey’s For” and “Out of the Blue” earned praise from notable outlets like Holler and Wide Open Country, further cementing Cain as an emerging voice with something real to say.

“Pumping on the Heartbreaks” seeks to find the medium of keeping your cool when there is a fresh ignited flame between you and another person who leaves you in awe. Having to navigate how he composes himself, Cain uses well-balanced instrumentation with a country flair and life experience to convey meaning to his audiences. “Pumping on the Heartbreaks” is now available to stream and download.
