Alternative-pop artist and songwriter Lucy Frost has returned with her latest release, “Lines.” Capturing the feelings of angst at seeing your ex with someone new and the impetuous need to warn them, “Lines” is available now on all streaming platforms.

Lucy Frost leans into rock sensibilities, delivering a heavy-hitting confession of anxiety and mania that grabs listeners from the start, pulling them into total emotional immersion. “Lines” is a deeply anxious track, full of self-conscious and compulsive lyrics like, “Get a grip, you’re fine, they don’t hear you crying through the walls.” Filled to the brim with paranoia and reckless emotions, “Lines” follows the journey of someone who has come face-to-face with an ex’s new lover. Between unease over still having feelings, “Cause you keep creeping up my spine, and I can’t move on,” to holding back personal impulses to walk over to the next person and tell them everything about your ex, “Lines” is a musical retelling of something we all go through. “‘Lines’ sonically captures the chaotic spiral of someone who just witnessed their ex with someone new for the first time,” explains Frost. “That gnawing need to tell the next person about them, the intrusive thoughts that control us in the moment, the impulsive actions we take that we immediately regret the next day. It’s paranoia while also being neurotic, until we’re forced to face the question: who have I become?” The track was produced alongside Charlotte Reed and Mosaic, with drums provided by Graham Moala.

Raised in Boston, Lucy Frost found her footing in songwriting early on, shaped by the stark winters of New England and the introspective lyrics of artists like Elliott Smith, Jeff Buckley, and Bob Dylan, alongside the sharp modern edge of Billie Eilish and Lola Young. With a foundation in film scoring and multi-instrumentalism, she crafts songs that feel both intimate and cinematic, pairing vivid storytelling with textured production. Tracks such as “D Day,” “Reputation,” and “Angeles” trace the emotional shifts of her own life while tapping into broader themes of transformation and self-discovery. Now based in Los Angeles, Frost has built a compelling live presence, performing at renowned venues including Hotel Cafe, Harvard & Stone, The Burren, and The Village Social Club.
