iHeartMedia, in collaboration with The Martin Luther King III Foundation and Legacy+, announced the launch of a new podcast series titled “My Legacy.” Hosted by human rights activists Martin Luther King III and Arndrea Waters King, along with Legacy+ Founder Craig Kielburger and social entrepreneur Marc Kielburger, the series is set to debut on January 20, coinciding with Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

“My Legacy” will feature conversations with influential figures, including Mel Robbins, Dr. Sanjay Gupta, David Oyelowo, Billy Porter and Martin Sheen. Each episode will pair these luminaries with a loved one or close confidante to explore the personal trials and triumphs that have shaped their lives and legacies. The podcast aims to provide listeners with unique insights into the resilience and growth behind each guest’s journey.

iHeartPodcasts President Will Pearson emphasized the series’ goal of celebrating the impactful decisions and moments that define an individual’s life. “By honoring Dr. King’s legacy through powerful and unique narratives, we hope to inspire listeners to reflect on their own impact and the lasting change they can create in the world,” Pearson stated.

Martin Luther King III highlighted the series’ broader mission of fostering human connection through storytelling. “‘My Legacy’ is about uncovering the untold moments that define us and connecting with the humanity in every voice,” he said.

The podcast ties into the broader ‘Realize the Dream’ initiative, which seeks to empower communities and promote Dr. King’s vision of a society based on justice, equality and love. In support of this vision, iHeartMedia will provide a $5 million Spotlight Media Grant to the initiative, aiming to inspire 100 million hours of service by the 100th anniversary of Dr. King’s birth in 2029.

“My Legacy” will be part of iHeart’s Sunday Night Podcasts programming and available on the iHeartRadio app and other podcast platforms every Monday, starting with its premiere. The series is produced by Suzanne Hayward, a veteran producer with over a decade of experience at The Oprah Winfrey Show.
