Audacy has announced that country superstar Blake Shelton will headline the next edition of its new album release series, “On The Record,” airing Sunday, May 11 at 7pm local time across Audacy’s country stations and the free Audacy app.

Hosted by Katie Neal of “Katie and Company,” the one-hour special will give fans an intimate, behind-the-scenes look at the making of Shelton’s new album, “For Recreational Use Only,” his first full-length project in four years.

“There’s another level of intimacy shared when an artist breaks down their thoughts behind an album, and we’re thrilled to have Blake join ‘On the Record’ to share that process with our Country music fans,” said Tim Roberts, Country Format Vice President, Audacy. “We have a great relationship with Blake and can’t wait for our audience to connect with him and the new album even more.”

In addition to the special, Shelton will also appear on “Friday Night Takeover” with “Rob + Holly” — Audacy’s nationally syndicated country show — on Friday, May 9 at 7pm local time, in support of the new album.

Audacy’s “On The Record” celebrates music releases by offering fans an in-depth look at the creative process behind the songs and albums they love. Previous featured artists include Riley Green, Thomas Rhett, Lainey Wilson, Billie Eilish, Camila Cabello, and twenty one pilots.
