One Of The Best New Bands At AC Radio Is Paramore
One of the best new bands out there at AC radio is Paramore. They showcase their talents in a very big way as their new “Still Into You” (Fueled By Ramen) takes flight. Of Monsters And Men are also making some bold and powerful moves at radio. The new “Mountain Sound”(Universal Republic) pulls them right out of the “one hit wonder” category. I’m so thrilled to see Eric Clapton back at radio. He does it better than most and with the latest track “Every Little Thing” (Bushbranch/Surfdog). You can be sure that will be seeing and hearing a lot more from the legendary Eric Clapton in the weeks and months to come. Train has teamed up with recording artist Ashley Monroe with a solid winner. The single “Bruises” (Columbia/Sony) is getting rave reviews and spins from our music and program directors. Mariah Carey has teamed up with Miguel for one of her best singles in years. The cut “Beautiful” (Island/UMG) is ever so good and should make its way to the top of the charts in record time. It’s too bad that Miguel had to pull that stunt on the Billboard Music Awards. I just hope that it doesn’t hurt this amazing record.
Sara Bareilles is a real talent that deserves your continued support. “Brave” (Epic/Sony) is her latest offering and it underscores just what an amazing vocal talent this artist has. Those Fall Out Boys are back at it. “My Songs Know What You Did In The Dark” (Island) is a real cleaver jam and make sure to throw a few extra spins in for it this week. Matchbox 20 is also back and getting spins for “Our Song” (Atlantic/WEA). Maroon 5 has another masterpiece on their hands with “Love Somebody” (Octone/A&M). Pitbull has teamed up with Christina Aguilera. Together they make beautiful music with the duet hit entitled “Feel This Moment” (Mr 305/Polo Grounds/RCA). I also really love the new Ed Sheeran single “Lego House” (Asylum/WB). This follow-up to his huge hit “The A Team” puts him on track to be the recording star that he should be. Pompeya is rocking the radio world with a solid debut hit single. “YAHTBMF” (Noshame) has been off to an explosive start and the best is yet to come. Their debut performance at the Roxy in Los Angeles let many industry professionals and fans know just how amazing and talented these four guys are. Rihanna is having a solid run on the AC40 with her brilliant “Stay” (DefJam/IDJMG). Alina Artts is also a solid “break out” with her stellar debut single “Hit The Red Light” (R.E.C.). Watch for some big weeks ahead for this amazing female vocalist. Demi Lovato is breaking fast with her new radio hit. “Heart Attack” (Hollywood). The new band Ozicely is taking the radio world by storm. “UP2U” (Symphonic) is the gem that is fast becoming a real favorite with our programmers. Matt Backer is breaking fast with his amazing “Let’s Art” (Right) single. Frank D’Angelo has a brilliant new single entitled “Dreamer” (B.K.C.I.). All you have to do is look at this weeks “most added” chart to see how hot this record is.
Bill Songy continues his #1 ways with “Those Days Are Gone” (Franzia) and Marsha Jewell is only one step behind with her brilliant “Ragged Angel” (Jewell Lane). Stu Wright from WORG was one of the radio guys to meet up with American Idol winner Candice Glover during her hometown visit in Beaufort, SC aka St Helena Island. Turns out they both went to the same High School together but 36 years apart. Stu is a great guy who suffers from Neurofibromatosis (NF1). Last month was NF recognition month. Check out CTF.org, that’s the Children’s Tumor Foundation for more on this disability. We wish him the best. I’ll have more for you next time right here.
