Tobi Gordon Gets Industry Attention
Tobi Gordon has a rich heritage in her parents, grandparents and background singing in church, children’s camps, festivals, and now taking to the national stage with one of the best produced albums to come out of Nashville under the direction of veteran Hit Maker Robert Metzgar. A Contemporary Christian artist from Edmond, Oklahoma, she has been competing with female talent at the major label level in Nashville for the past few years now. From her “Let’s Sing America” album on Platinum Plus Records Nashville, there have been three singles released over the past few years to domestic pop & country radio stations. Gordon’s Alison Krauss style vocals have dominated our NMW charts every week now for over 2 years. It wasn’t until 2012 however, that her song “The Eagle” really broke through at radio stations and went # 1 here at New Music Weekly. The song also was a Top 200 Hot Country Single on the Billboard charts. One national radio programmer at ABC Radio in New York has called her album “the best healing CD I have ever heard”. She has been Microsoft’s leading lady in the “Bringing The Family Together” campaign and continues to build her list of accomplishments. Gordon was nominated as “New Artist Of The Year” for this year’s New Music Awards, and eventually won the award in that category beating out some rather stiff competition. Her latest single “I Want To Live Like That” (Platinum Plus) is set to become her very next #1 single. All of us at New Music Weekly wish her continued success. Country Radio
