Tripp Rogers Returning to KHTQ/Spokane as APD/Mornings

KHTQ (Rock 94 1/2) in Spokane is bringing back a familiar voice to its airwaves. Veteran rock radio personality Tripp Rogers is rejoining the station as Assistant Program Director and morning host, taking over for Scott Steele, who is stepping down. Rogers’ first show is set for Monday, March 3.

Rogers is no stranger to the Inland Northwest. With a career spanning Rock 94 1/2, Z-ROCK, KEZE Rock 106, and nearly every major rock station in Spokane, Coeur d’Alene, and Sandpoint, he has been a staple of the region’s rock radio for decades. His background includes roles as an air personality, Music Director, motorsports announcer, and production expert.

“I’m beyond stoked to be back home at Rock 94 1/2,” Rogers said. “This station has always been a huge part of my career and my life. I can’t wait to wake up Spokane, crank the volume, and keep this rock train rolling.”

A spokesperson for Morgan Murphy Media, which owns Rock 94 1/2, expressed appreciation for outgoing host Scott Steele. “As Scott Steele steps down, we want to thank him for his years of dedication and wish him the best on his next adventure.”
