The past five years have been filled with non-stop music making for the up-and-coming songwriter/producer and electronic artist Julian Gardner, known as Julez. After receiving an honourable mention in the USA Songwriting Competition with his single “Problem” in 2023, it has just been announced that his song “Higher Than Love” has not only won the Dance/Electronic category of the competition this year, but is also the grand prize overall Winner of the USA Songwriting Competition in 2024!

While his first album isn’t slated for release until 2025, Julez is offering up a taste of what’s to come with his single, “Higher Than Love.” featuring J.O.Y. Given that Julez is so much more than a musician, “Higher Than Love” shines as it highlights his cool songwriting and production abilities as well. While some artists stumble to find their footing right out of the gate, Julez is off to a head start with his single, which was co-produced by the talented Paddy Hunt. The vocals, the composition, it all comes together as a song that could fare well across multiple platforms from the dancefloor to radio airwaves, taking ininfluences from all corners of the music world including electronic dance music, pop and hip-hop. Julez incorporates an intricate mix of captivating melodies, dynamic percussion work and vibrant sounds, striving to combine the hard-hitting elements of electronic music with the angelic atmosphere of pop vocals. Inspired by the likes of The Weeknd, Avicii, Calvin Harris, Chainsmokers, David Guetta, Gryffinand Kygo. Juleztakes the world of EDM and adds mainstream elements to create something people who aren’t necessarily fans of electronic music will find themselves enamoured with. “Higher Than Love” is available on all major music and streaming platforms now and will be included in Julez’ album project ‘Reveal’ in 2025. Once upon a time, Julez played in various bands as a drummer, but soon realised later in life his passion for playing the piano and writing his own songs. That soon blossomed into a successful musical journey as Winner of the USA Songwriting Competition 2024.
