WXTU-FM/Philadelphia Hosts 25th Annual Toy Truck Parade
Country WXTU-FM in Philadelphia is teaming up with the Camden County Board of Commissioners to host its 25th Annual Toy Truck Parade on Saturday, December 14. This festive event aims to collect toys for The Boys and Girls Clubs of Camden County, bringing holiday cheer to children in need.
Listeners are encouraged to join the holiday tradition by decorating their vehicles — including cars, trucks, SUVs and emergency vehicles — and filling them with new, unwrapped toys to donate. Participants will compete for trophies awarded by WXTU’s air personalities for the best-decorated vehicles in four categories: Big Rig, Commercial, Personal and Emergency.
The event will kick off at 8am in the parking lot of Cooper River Park in Pennsauken, NJ, where judging of the decorated vehicles will take place. At 9:45am, the parade will begin, winding through Collingswood and concluding at the Scottish Rite Auditorium.
Country artist Corey Kent will serve as the Grand Marshal for the parade, performing a live set at the Scottish Rite Auditorium. WXTU-FM hosts, including The Andie Summers Show, Razz on the Radio and Nicole Michalik, will be on hand to celebrate with participants.
The highlight of the day will be the creation of a “mountain of toys” at the Scottish Rite Auditorium, ensuring a brighter holiday season for children served by The Boys and Girls Clubs of Camden County.
