New single from Doctor Noize & Grammy winner 123 Andres – “Juntos” – A Bicultural Anthem of Togetherness

Beloved family musician Doctor Noize (a.k.a. Cory Cullinan) joins forces with this year’s GRAMMY® winner for Best Children’s Album, 123  Andrés, on “Juntos,” a buoyant anthem of togetherness that’s equal parts English and Spanish. “Juntos” will be released with an accompanying video on August 14, 2024.

“Juntos” translates as “together,” and on this song, Cory Cullinan harmonizes with his wife Janette Cullinan and the husband-and-wife duo of Andrés Salguero and Christina Sanabria in their native tongues before the foursome begins singing together in both languages. This little gem with a big heart has a simple message that resonates powerfully in today’s times and is wrapped in an absolutely energizing, first-rate production.

“Juntos” encourages listeners to embrace the diversity of the world around them. Based on the simple premise of people from different cultures laughing, singing, and collaborating to make something beautiful together, the “Juntos“ video was scripted, filmed, directed, and edited by Doctor Noize’s older daughter, Sidney Cullinan and illustrated by his younger daughter, Riley Max, who were also the creative team behind the Doc’s recently released “I’m Listening” video with Justin Roberts. Young recording artist Levi Randolph, whose album Cory recently produced, plays violin.

Cory and Janette Cullinan and Andrés Salguero and Christina Sanabria share a passion for education; each of these musicians has an advanced degree in music or education and devotes time to teaching. However, their main bond is a delicious sense of humor and the ability to feel the grace of the moment even during complex times.

“I’ve always enjoyed Christina and Andrés because we share a grounding sense of humor that helps us remember we’re working with music and kids, so it’s supposed to be fun … yet our mutual commitment to music and teaching is totally professional. It’s how we approach our interactions with each other and it’s how we approach our relationship with our audience,” says Cory Cullinan. “’Juntos‘ expresses what our friendship is all about: the lightness and humor that comes of learning and laughing together while embracing each other’s backgrounds and culture.”

“Juntos” will be available August 14 on all major platforms. The song will be the first track on Doctor Noize’s epic retrospective album, Positive Energy! (The Music of Doctor Noize), which will be released in March 2025.

ABOUT DOCTOR NOIZE & 123 ANDRÉS:

Chart-topping children’s recording and performing artist Doctor Noize is many things: Stanford music grad, professor of recording arts, entrepreneur, author, app creator, studio owner, speaker, commissioned composer for stage and screen, and goofball.

With chart hits in three decades, the Doc’s catalog of recordings is a unique combination of exuberant joy, high-quality production, revered collaborators, and narrative musical structure.  Each album is an adventure balancing inspirational learning with positive storytelling and songwriting all ages can explore.  His work teaches instruments, music fundamentals, language, leadership, sustainability, equity, diversity, and inclusion — all through the eyes of characters so engaging listeners don’t even know they’re learning.

Janette Cullinan grew up in Silicon Valley and raised two daughters with Cory. Doctor Noize’s partner in life and Phineas McBoof’s partner in fiction, she’s the voice of Backbone the Octopus on all the Doctor Noize recordings. Janette sang in an a cappella group at Stanford, earning an undergraduate degree in English with an interdisciplinary focus in Feminist Studies and a master’s in Education. This is even more remarkable as she is blind. Janette’s a trailblazer in the corporate world and Senior Director of Learning Experience at the 4th largest company on Forbes’ Fortune 500 list, UnitedHealth Group.

Andrés Salguero and Christina Sanabria are the Grammy-winning music duo 123 Andrés. Their catchy songs and lively concerts get the whole family dancing and learning in Spanish and English.

Andrés Salguero grew up in Bogotá, Colombia, and learned how to play the guitar from his father at an early age. He had his first studio experience at age 8, and from there he went on to earn a doctorate in Music and win the National Composition Contest in Colombia for one of his early songs.

Christina Sanabria grew up in the Midwest in a Spanish-speaking immigrant family from Colombia. Her love for the stage started when her mom signed her up for theater and dance classes as a child. After college, she worked in the classroom as a public school teacher and received a master’s in Education. When she joined 123 Andrés, she found her calling in teaching through music.
