96.1 Kiss/Pittsburgh Kicks Off Annual Stuff A Bus Toy Drive
iHeartMedia’s WKST (96.1 Kiss) in Pittsburgh kicks off the annual “Stuff A Bus” toy drive to benefit the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots program. Toys for Tots provides new, unwrapped toys for families in western Pennsylvania. The toy drive will run through Friday, December 6 in the parking lot of the Robinson Town Centre, next to Home Goods.
“Stuff A Bus” will feature 96.1 Kiss air personalities Mikey, Bob, Tall Cathy and Justin, who encourage listeners to bring new, unwrapped toys to the parking lot of the shopping center from 8am-9pm Monday through Thursday, and Friday morning 7-10am to fill up school buses with toys. The event will also feature activities such as Touch A Truck Night and Stop by Wednesday.
96.1 Kiss has also partnered with the Pittsburgh Penguins Foundation to collect monetary donations or utilize their Amazon Wishlist to donate a toy on-line. The Pittsburgh Penguins Foundation and the Lady Pens, an organization comprised of the Pittsburgh Penguins’ wives and girlfriends, will be matching donations up to $10,000 for “Stuff A Bus!” Listeners can visit 961Kiss.com for more information and the link to donate.
Last year the 96.1 Kiss toy drive filled 68 buses worth of toys, including more than 250 bikes. Over the last 20 years, the station has filled 791 school buses worth of toys to benefit the US Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots program.
